Dress Code

The Club wishes to preserve a “smart but casual” approach based on clothing that is principally designed for golf. As, however, dress sense is a highly subjective topic, the Club would appreciate your support in maintaining the following standards of dress:

On the Course

Shorts and socks: Tailored shorts may be worn at any time but appropriate sports socks must be worn and these may be long or short. They must be neither football nor rugby type socks and must be of smart appearance.

Trousers: Jeans are not allowed on the golf course.

Shirts: Shirts without collars are not deemed appropriate and all shirts should be tucked into trousers or shorts. Football shirts are not permitted on the golf course.

Shoes: Only recognised golf shoes with spikes are permitted. Trainers and similar types of footwear are not permitted on the golf course.

Caps: Caps should not be worn the wrong way round (i.e. peak at the back), and should not be worn in the clubhouse.

Mobile phones: The use of mobile phones is not permitted on the golf course. Your co-operation and understanding to avoid offence or embarrassment would be appreciated.

In the Clubhouse

Smart/casual dress is acceptable in the clubhouse. Smart jeans are acceptable but not torn or ripped jeans. Collared and crew neck shirts only. No scruffy trainers, similar footwear or work boots.

Members and visitors in breach of this dress code may be asked to leave the Club premises. Employees of the Club have the authority of the Board to refuse to provide a service to any member or visitor failing to maintain these standards.

Your co-operation and understanding to avoid offence or embarrassment would be appreciated.

Members are asked to follow the strict dress code applied by the club and to advise their guests playing the course or attending a function on their behalf.
