The Club was founded in 1892 and has been played at its current site, Bend Hagg, since 1904 after members decamped from the old racecourse half a mile away.

Now Richmond Golf Club can lay claim to be one of the top 50 value for money courses in the UK and one of the best tests of any golfer in North Yorkshire and the North-East of England.
