Richmond Golf Club has been ranked as one of the most improved golf courses in the UK.

In an article produced by leading golf review site GolfShake, Richmond GC was one of 36 golf courses who were named most improved from 2023.

Due to the ever changing weather and the forecast this week, we have decided to reschedule the Ladies Tri-Am from 5 April to 3 May.

The Castle Comp starts up again week commencing 8th April. The comp will run on Tuesdays & Thursday only and prizes will be paid for divisions 0-15 and 16 and above.

A huge thanks to the 33 teams who played in the Spring Open at Richmond on Saturday. Despite the very windy conditions on the day, we managed to get the full 18 holes in.

A Big Thank You
I wanted to start this newsletter and to end the year with a big thank you to all of the staff and volunteers that helped the club grow through this ‘very wet’ 2023. It’s certainly been a challenging year at times, especially with the amount of rain we have had, but the team has once again delivered above and beyond expectations in all of the areas across the club. Well done and thanks again to all those involved.

We need your help and assistance please. A while ago the Board considered and made the decision to expand the use of the BRS system to include our existing bar card, bar, shop and competition scoring systems. Our reason was primarily to reduce costs and provide greater automation, leading to reduced management administration time.

Winter Open Update: Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the Winter Open schedule for Saturday December 2nd due to snow on the golf course.

The Ladies Team Am Am was staged at Richmond Golf Club on 23rd September. Congratulations to all who took part.

Richmond (Yorks) Golf Club was delighted to welcome the 38^th Junior Team Championship for the Yorkshire Inter-District Union of Golf Clubs on Thursday 31^st August.

Congratulations to everyone who competed in the 2023 Dales Festival at Richmond, Bedale and Catterick Golf Clubs.

Congratulations to our very own Karen Jobling, who was part of Northern team that won senior regional championship (Jamboree) at Huddersfield Golf Club on August 8-10.

Congratulations to the Richmond Ladies who won the Triple Trophy at RGC on Friday August 4, defeating Bedale and Catterick.

Well done to Mick Campbell, Richmond Golf Club Chairman, who won the 2023 Seniors Club Championship on Saturday, July 22nd.
