As the Chairman of Richmond Golf Club, I am delighted and very proud to announce that Amy Lancaster has won the Outstanding Employee award at the Business Excellence Awards 2024.

Richmond Golf Club has been ranked as one of the most improved golf courses in the UK.

In an article produced by leading golf review site GolfShake, Richmond GC was one of 36 golf courses who were named most improved from 2023.

Due to the ever changing weather and the forecast this week, we have decided to reschedule the Ladies Tri-Am from 5 April to 3 May.

The Castle Comp starts up again week commencing 8th April. The comp will run on Tuesdays & Thursday only and prizes will be paid for divisions 0-15 and 16 and above.

A huge thanks to the 33 teams who played in the Spring Open at Richmond on Saturday. Despite the very windy conditions on the day, we managed to get the full 18 holes in.

A Big Thank You
I wanted to start this newsletter and to end the year with a big thank you to all of the staff and volunteers that helped the club grow through this ‘very wet’ 2023. It’s certainly been a challenging year at times, especially with the amount of rain we have had, but the team has once again delivered above and beyond expectations in all of the areas across the club. Well done and thanks again to all those involved.

We need your help and assistance please. A while ago the Board considered and made the decision to expand the use of the BRS system to include our existing bar card, bar, shop and competition scoring systems. Our reason was primarily to reduce costs and provide greater automation, leading to reduced management administration time.
