We are playing in Division 2 this year so let's go for promotion back into the top division. If your handicap is 12 or below and you want to play, please add your name to the list in the locker room.  Team sheets and results below

3rd May Middlesbrough Municipal Away Lost 11 v 13

A great effort last night guys, especially the players who finished their matches in the dark! Everyone knows that situation is far from ideal. The result was a narrow loss for Richmond 13-11, but valuable points gained. So well done to all who played and we now need to get ready for our first home match of the season. Richmond v Blackwell Grange 10th May 2017.
Thanks to all the players, the Captain and Mike Slater for their support.

10th May Blackwell Grange Home Won 20 v 4

Thank you to all the players last night, a brilliant night for Richmond Golf Club in beating Blackwell Grange Golf Club 20 points to 4. Having more players wanting to play is a real bonus, so thank you for your support.
Thanks also to Jim Love who took over the management of the team whilst I played. Makes a big difference.
All the results can be seen on the attachment below

17th May Seaton Carew Away Lost 8 v 16

Thanks to everyone who made the journey last night to Seaton Carew where the team were beaten 16 - 8. In the scheme of things though that was a very creditable result. Thank goodness the weather wasn't as bad as was expected.
Thanks again to the Captain, Steve Willis for his continued and much appreciated support. Guy Pini won the sweep with his 4 and 3 win.
Seaton are a good team and to come away from there with 8 points is a great result. We're now second to Seaton Carew by 1 point with our next 2 matches at  home.

24th May Darlington Home Won 17 v 7

A pretty decent result last night, in glorious weather, against Darlington Golf Club. The result was a win for Richmond 17-7. That's not bad considering 3 team members were unable to play due to unforeseen circumstances, but the replacements acquitted themselves admirably. Should cement our position at the top of the league, but other results are waited upon.
Thanks go to all the players as always. Ryan Howe won the sweep with his 6 & 5 win. Thanks to Stuart Brown for stepping up to play for the team on Sunday. Good luck to Ryan, Dave & Stuart at Barnard Castle

31st May Hunley Hall Home Won 20 v 4

Another great home result on a perfect evening which takes us to the top of the league

7th June Teesside Away Lost 11 v 13

A quick note of thanks to all team members who played at Teesside Golf Club. Whilst the result was a loss for the team, the points we gained away from home were massive. We very nearly did the unthinkable and won. Teesside were the closest team to us so this result consolidates our position at the top of the league. Well done guys, thanks for all your time and efforts. Keep it up and happy golfing.

14th June (Free week)

Drat, drat and double drat. Who would have thought Teesside would beat Seaton 18-6. That leaves Richmond 1 point behind Teesside in second place with all teams having played equal matches. A big win next Wednesday should put us back on top!

21st June Middlesbrough Municipal Home Won 17 v 7

A good start to the second half of the season

Monday 3rd July Blackwell Grange Away Lost 6 v 18

My thanks to all the players tonight at Blackwell Grange. It proved a tough night for our team with only 3 wins. Josh Fox continues his good form, debut man Stuart Brown bringing in 2 points and Jim Love with the old dog licence win taking the sweep. Well done everyone and we go again Wednesday night, at home to Seaton Carew.

5th July Seaton Carew Home Lost 8 v 16

Soft greens and no wind led to our downfall - oops.

Monday 10th July Darlington Away Lost 5 v 19

Thanks again to everyone who played on a very wet night. Unfortunately we were well beaten so have little chance of promotion now

19th July Hunley Hall Away Lost 10 v 14

Thanks to all the players who played at Hunley Hall tonight. I know its not easy driving to a point just below the Arctic circle, so well done guys earning a valuable 10 points against 14 for Hunley. Thanks once again to the Club Captain, Steve Willis for his tremendous support.

26th July Teesside Home Won 15 v 9

Last match of the season so thanks to all of the players and, in particular, John Simpson for his excellent captaincy. Division 2 status secured for next year. SW

Thanks to all the players who played against Teesside last night. For a time yesterday afternoon the match looked like it might not be played. Anyhow, it went ahead and the Richmond team achieved a great win 15-9. This may not be enough to secure promotion, but overall I believe all players acquitted themselves very well indeed.
Thanks once again to Captain Steve Willis who has supported the team both home and away for the majority of the games.
Thank you chaps!
